Non Sequitur doesn’t currently have a location, but they contract brew at various New York breweries and their can art is amazing (you can follow the artist, @NeonDinosaur, on Instagram). It just pops when you walk by it in the store. Non Sequitur is typically known for interesting IPAs, but they finally brewed a crisp, Italian Pilsner – rightly named It’s (Finally) Here.
It’s not a style that I drink that often but a good, crisp pilsner can hit the spot just right and create one of my favorite drinking experiences.
Brewery: Non Sequitur Beer Project (Brooklyn, NY)
Rating: 87/100
Comments: They brewed a crisp one! This Italian Pilsner is a clear light straw color with about two fingers of bright white head. The aroma is clean, slightly sweet, and bready. The taste is also just a bit sweet with bready malts and a decent amount of floral hops at the end. It’s light and crisp, with a solid amount of hop bitterness and a dry finish. At 4.9% abv, this beer is a perfect companion to a long day watching football.
Italian pilsner? Put that on my bucket list to try!
