Comments: Day 19 of New York State Beers of Holiday Cheer is Troy Division, a New England IPA from Rare Form Brewing Co. Rare Form was actually the very first brewery I visited when I moved to New York and it has remained one of my favorites. Troy Division pours a moderately hazy golden color with a light white head. It has a dank aroma with pine and grapefruit notes. Light-bodied with a dry finish, this NEIPA lets the stone and tropical fruit flavors from the hops shine without any hop-burn. I was happy to see this familiar beer in the pack from NY Brewer’s Association.
