Comments: Day 13 of New York State Beers of Holiday Cheer brings us Super Crantastic, a sour ale from Eli Fish Brewing Co. This sour was brewed with cranberries, orange peel, and Citra hops. It pours a clear dark gold to light brown color; there could even be just a tiny bit of a red or pink tint that gives it that brownish color in the gold. The aroma is strong with cranberry and orange citrus. It has a decent amount of pucker to it, but isn’t overly sour, which allows some sweet cranberry and orange flavors to rule. I’m normally not a huge fan of cranberries, but Super Crantastic’s use of orange really takes everything to a new level and makes it a great sour for the holiday season!
