Comments: Beer number 8 of the New York State Beers of Holiday Cheer is Frequency Lager from SingleCut Beersmiths, a silver medal winner at GABF in 2021 for the Contemporary American Lager category. This lager pours a slightly hazy golden color with mildly sweet and bready malt aromas. It’s a crisp and light lager, but doesn’t lack in that corn-like sweetness and features just enough spice to provide a little bit of zing on the tip of my tongue. SingleCut shows that American lagers don’t all have to be the same and Frequency resonates more than most.
