Comments: Beer 3 of the New York State Beers of Holiday Cheer is Twilight Sparkle, a fruited sour from Meier’s Creek Brewing Co. It pours an intriguing hazy pinkish orange. There’s no questioning that this is a sour once you smell it. Guava is at the forefront in both the aroma and flavor. Sweet pineapple follows the sour guava beginnings, which makes for a well-rounded and drinkable sour. It’s fairly light-bodied with a soft and creamy mouthfeel. Twilight Sparkle is my first beer from Meier’s Creek and it has certainly inspired me to look for more beers from them to try!
