Comments: This year, for the first time, I’m doing an organized beer Advent Calendar event where each day until Christmas we’ll be drinking a new beer from a brewery in the state of New York! I’m excited to start with Day 1 of the 24 New York State Beers of Holiday Cheer: Reptarr, a New England IPA. If you’re of a certain age, you’ll immediately get a shot of nostalgia from the name and can design representing Rugrats’ monster. The beer showcases Motueka and Nelson hops with a dank and fruity start to each sip before the creamy mouthfeel rounds it off nicely along with some sweetness. I picked up some vanilla and sweet citrus fruits in the aroma. Reptarr is extremely well balanced and pleasant to drink, making for a strong start to this Holiday season!
