We continue to try any and every Great Notion beer we can get our hands on. This time, we were able to try one of their fruited sour series, Super Baked (Blueberry Lemon). Steph wasn’t quite as impressed as I was since she tends to like a more in your face type of sour, while I like my sours with a bit more sweetness. This was a wonderfully flavorful beer, that was refreshing and complex to drink.

Comments: Pours a hazy purplish red color with bright white head. Blueberry and vanilla dominate the aroma, with lemon and tart notes providing backup. This beer is a masterful combination of flavors. Blueberry is the most upfront, with the lemon, vanilla, and cinnamon each popping up for their own solo performance throughout the drink. The flavors meld together so naturally that the beer is more than the sum of its parts. Its medium-bodied and moderately carbonated. It’s a sweeter sour, which may drive some drinkers away, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
