Brewery: Artisanal Brew Works (Saratoga Springs, NY)
Rating: 83/100
Comments: Pours a clear blue-green color with bluish head that dissipated quickly. The aroma is of raspberry and has a Fun Dip sugar quality to the smell. To be honest, I didn’t always know that Blue Raspberry referred to a specific type of raspberry – I had assumed that it was a made up flavor from a lab. Now that I can confirm the existence of the blue raspberry, I can tell you its flavor is very distinct, and Artisanal managed to get it right. It’s fairly light-bodied and sweet, with a dry finish. It’s not the sourest of sours, but it’s got enough kick to make it fun.
