Equilibrium/Other Half Baby Roo Dream Field Shoes

When two highly regarded breweries like Equilibrium Brewery and Other Half Brewing get together and collaborate on a beer, it’s tough to pass it up. Baby Roo Dream Field Shoes comes through with Equilibrium’s highest hopping rate yet, using oats in the base before using Citra, Enigma, and Galaxy hops.

Brewery: Collaboration between Equilibrium Brewery (Middletown, NY) / Other Half Brewing Co. (Brooklyn, NY)

Rating: 89/100

Comments: This pale ale pours an opaque light straw color with fluffy white head that sticks around for a long time. Jam packed with Citra, Enigma, and Galaxy hops, the aroma is incredibly tropical and fruity with orange citrus, pineapple, and melon rind notes. The flavor is similarly tropical with orange, pineapple, melon, papaya, and a passion fruit finish. It’s pretty light-bodied and the flavor doesn’t linger long. Two great breweries collaborate again and produce a pale ale that absolutely meets those high expectations – and they weave a pretty hilarious “hoppy” narrative about baby roos as well.
