Radiant Pig is small and has a fairly streamlined lineup of beers and I really like and respect them for that. They produce good beers, not a lot of beers. Save the Robots, billed as an East Coast IPA, is another one of those really solid brews. I don’t believe they have a taproom to visit, but I hope their relatively recent acquisition by a beverage group will allow them to open one up so I can visit!
Brewery: Radiant Pig Craft Beers (Brooklyn, NY)
Rating: 89/100
Comments: Save The Robots pours a moderately hazy light golden color with a half finger of bright white head that recedes to a thin layer on the beer. The aroma is tropical with pineapple, lemon, mango, and a bit of pine. The taste has grapefruit, orange, mango, and papaya with some bitter, spicy hop flavors as well. It’s juicy with a soft and creamy mouthfeel. It’s on the low end of medium-bodied and is moderately carbonated. This is a beer I tried pretty soon after I moved to New York and it says a lot that I continue to return to it. I’ve had a few beers from Radiant Pig now and they’re up to some great things.
