I put in an order for local delivery from Rare Form because I saw that they had several beers out that I hadn’t tried yet. One of those new beers, Tripped Out, a Belgian Tripel came in a crowler and I cracked it open fairly quickly. It’s been a while since I’ve had a Tripel to be totally honest. Like many beer drinkers, I respect the Belgian styles and history but I don’t drink them as often as I probably should. After so many IPAs, it’s different, pleasant, and incredibly refreshing to drink something else. Tripped Out reminded me to go back and drink some more Tripel’s again.

Rating: 84/100
Comments: Tripped Out pours a gorgeous clear ruby-brown color. The aroma is of sweet caramel and bready malt. There is a bit of peppery spice and it is quite sweet, with some banana and clove in the taste as well. Tripped Out coats my entire mouth, adding to a medium-long finish. This isn’t the most complex Tripel, but it’s certainly tasty.
