Despite the slogan America Runs on Dunkin’, there wasn’t a single Dunkin’ Donuts where I grew up in the Midwest. Now that I live in New York and have learned the delight of a 25 count of assorted munchkins, I wish there had been! To build on their already strong line up of beverages, Dunkin’ partnered with Harpoon Brewery in Boston to produce The Harpoon Dunkin’ Dozen, a limited series assortment of four unique beers inspired by the Dunkin’ range of donuts and drinks. We were excited to pick up this beer box when we first saw it in the store and were blown away by the quality. The Dunkin’ Dozen is no gimmick! These are impressive beers that manage to capture the flavors you know and love – and transform them from donuts to beer!
You can find my reviews of each of the beers below.
Dunkin’ Pumpkin Ale (Rating: 86) – There are a ton of pumpkin beers out there, but don’t overlook this one!
Dunkin’ Boston Kreme Stout (Rating: 89) – I don’t know how they did it, but you could convince me this was actually a Boston Kreme donut.
Dunkin’ Jelly Donut IPA (Rating: 79/100) – If your favorite part of a Jelly Donut is the jelly filling, then this is the beer for you!
Dunkin’ Coffee Porter (Rating: 83/100) – Despite being the least unique of the four beers, it’s delicious and a great example of a coffee porter.
