I first had Avenue of the Pines when I took family up to visit Northway Brewing Co. last Christmas. I only had a taster then and I wanted to give it another try. The can is gorgeous, as is its eponymous road so we wanted to share it with you.
Brewery: Northway Brewing Co. (Queensbury, NY)
Rating: 79/100
Comments: Pours a hazy golden color with a small amount of bright white head that dissipates fairly quickly. The aroma starts with grassy and piney hops, with hints of citrus and grapefruit at the end. The flavor is a bit more juicy with orange, papaya, and tangerine along with piney bitterness. It’s medium-bodied, soft, and creamy. It’s a fine NEIPA, but definitely has some west coast elements.
