I haven’t had many beers from breweries in Connecticut, which also happens to be one of the states I still haven’t visited on my way to 50 states, but Two Roads generally puts out pretty decent beers. Everything But The Kitchen Sink is hopped with T-op hop pellets, hop extracts, Lupulin powder, TNT hop blend, hop hash, distillate…you get the point. I think in the end all that stuff in one beer sort of confused what was going on, but it was still pretty tasty overall.
Brewery: Two Roads Brewing (Stratford, CT)
Rating: 83/100
Comments: The name makes sense with everything they hopped this IPA with. It pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with about a finger of white head. The aroma is relatively light, but has dank hops followed by some more muted melon, citrus, and tropical fruit notes. The taste is stronger with a pretty good hop bite. You can certainly pick up the melon, pineapple, and guava flavors. It ends with a mild juicy sweet mouthfeel and taste. It’s a fine offering, but probably not one that will stand out from their other beers.
