My wife and I were in Bennington, Vermont to have lunch with family and stopped into a local liquor store because we like to check out stores whenever we cross the border from our home in Upstate New York since they might have a different selection of beers. We’ve had quite a few different offerings from Burlington Beer Co. and always enjoy them so when I saw Sublimated Dreams, I was immediately interested. What sold me though were the few words just below the name – New Zealand – because I just love hops varieties from there.
Brewery: Burlington Beer Co. (Williston, VT)
Rating: 83/100
Comments: Sublimated Dreams Double IPA, brewed with New Zealand (Waimea, Wakatu, and Motueka) hops, pours a turbid light straw color with about a finger of head. The aroma is heavy on tropical fruit like pineapple, orange citrus, and is generally dank. The flavor follows the aroma: extremely dank up front, then turning to tropical flavors, before ending with sweet citrus. Sublimated Dreams has a soft and creamy mouthfeel. Really solid, drinkable NEIPA.
