Beer Tree Mashing Pumpkins

Anyone that knows me (or has read through some of the earlier posts in this journal) knows that I love Fall and I love pumpkin beers! Unfortunately, last year was a crazy year moving states and I never made it anywhere to have a pumpkin beer. This year, I saw my bottle shop post on their social media that they got this pumpkin beer in and I literally immediately grabbed my keys to go get some. Mashing Pumpkins didn’t disappoint!

Brewery: Beer Tree Brewing Co. (Port Crane, NY)

Rating: 90/100

Comments: Mashing Pumpkins is an excellent pumpkin ale. It pours a clear ruby brown color with quickly dissipating fizzy head. The aroma is where this one shines. It is big with punchy fall spices: nutmeg, allspice, brown sugar, a bit of cinnamon – all the pumpkin-y things. The flavor isn’t quite as strong as the aroma, but sweet brown sugar, some nutmeg, and pumpkin purée come through. It’s light bodied and moderately carbonated. Definitely give this one a try if you’re looking for a pumpkin beer!
