Springdale Lavenade Tart Ale

I love the color purple…and lavender…and lemon…and beer, so Springdale’s Lavenade was a pretty easy sell to me. Could a beer sound any more refreshing, honestly?

Brewery: Springdale Beer Company (Framingham, MA)

Rating: 86/100

Comments: Pours a slightly hazy golden color with fizzy white head that dissipated very quickly. I pick up lemon, lavender, honey, and some of that general lactose sourness in the aroma. It tastes of sour lemon with a touch of lavender, and it finishes with a pleasant sweetness. It’s moderately carbonated, with a medium to light body. It’s got a pretty high level of drinkability for a sour.

We’re outside now, if you couldn’t tell.
