Here’s the other IPA I was able to get from Great Notion in Portland, Superstar. Lumberjack, I think, character on this one. These characters have names and profiles on Great Notion’s app. Apparently you can collect them and get points and rewards. It seems interesting, but I couldn’t figure out how to submit purchases that I didn’t buy directly from the brewery so it’s pretty pointless for someone living across the country.

Comments: Superstar has abundant haze and a light straw color with a small amount of bubbly white head with good retention. The aroma is a bit mild but full of papaya, mango, and bits of pineapple, melon, and other tropical fruits. It’s relatively light bodied for a hazy ipa, which is refreshing to be honest. The flavors are similar to the aroma – lots of tropical fruits. It leans a little sweet overall but there’s also some hop bitterness.
