Eight Degrees Knockme(al) Down Porter

This is a beer from 8 Degrees Brewing Company in County Cork, Ireland. As an English Porter it delivers a great, malty taste. The bottle says it is balanced well using old world hops, I would say that it definitely leans toward the malts. Even though it leans strongly toward malts, I can’t help but somehow agree that its well balanced. This is a beer that I wouldn’t pair with any meal that isn’t already going to sit heavily in your stomach, and should not be enjoyed early in the day…unless you’re an awesome person that doesn’t care when you drink. It’s alcohol content is average at 5%, and can be enjoyed for several pints (in my opinion) before becoming too filling. Not recommended for beer pong though, just in case you were thinking about it.
